It took the Blue Jays 14 innings to clinch a series win against the Yankees, ending with Aaron Hill’s walk-off single scoring Edwin Encarnacion from second for a 3-2 victory.
Best of all: Derek Jeter’s two-run homer. It gave the Yankees a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning and would’ve been the game-winner if Alex Gonzalez hadn’t homered to start the seventh.
Worst of all: Mark Teixeira and Robinson Cano both went 0-for-6. Teixeira whiffed five times. Yowza.
Coming up: The Yankees will try to avoid the sweep in Sunday’s matinee game.
