Yankees going with two lineups: Gardner leads off vs. righties, Jeter gets lefties

Jack Curry broke the news this morning that Brett Gardner will be the leadoff man against righties with Derek Jeter hitting second. Jeter will remain the leadoff hitter against lefties.

I like the move. I’d rather have Jeter hit toward the bottom, but that’s not realistic unless he’s hitting near the Mendoza Line heading into May.
