In-game update! Girardi sparks back-to-back homers

Derek Jeter came up to the plate with one on and one out in the fifth inning and watched five pitches from Jon Lester.  The fifth was a called strike three on the inside.  After Jeter offered a small argument, it prompted Joe Girardi to storm out of the dugout.  He was immediately tossed, but oh boy did it pay off.

Down 4-0, the next batter Johnny Damon stepped up and smacked the first pitch he saw next to the right-field foul poll for a two-run home run.  Then, Mark Teixeira crushed the first pitch he saw over the left-center field wall.  4-3 Red Sox.

The funny part is, I was dissing Girardi in front of my roommates as he was arguing.  When YES showed the birds-eye view of the pitch against Jeter, it clearly showed the pitch was inside.  I am glad I was wrong, wrong about everything.

On a personal note, I will not be able to post a game recap tonight because I will be studying for final exams here at Quinnipiac.

That 2nd HR made me jump out of my seat a bit in disbelief. A comeback tonight would be sweet.

Good luck on the finals!

Thank you.

I jumped out of my seat as well. If only Bay's shot was two feet to the left. There's still hope!
