It’s official. Yanks get Granderson in three-team deal

blockbusterThe Yankees made  first big splash of the winter by acquiring one of the top outfielders available.

Fans, please welcome your newest Yankee, Curtis Granderson.

Granderson is a spark plug to an offense and possesses some serious pop for a 6-foot-1, 185-pound lefty with blazing speed. He slugged 30 homers last year and drove in 71 runs batting leadoff for the Tigers.

If you’re wondering what kind of defense he brings to the table, see below.

Yeah. I’d say he’s got the glove to patrol center field in Yankee Stadium next year.

Now, this move changes everything about the offseason. I’ll explore the impact this move has on Melky Cabrera, Johnny Damon and the Yankees lineup in 2010 over the next couple days.
