Poll Results: Montero should wait until September for promotion

This poll would have been completely worthless if the Cliff Lee deal had fallen through. But it didn’t, and the fans voted the conservative rout. The majority voted they’d like to see Jesus Montero called up in September, but many others wanted to wait until next year.

I think he should be the next catcher to be called up, meaning he should get the promotion if Francisco Cervelli or Jorge Posada get injured.

I’ve stressed all along that the Yankees have a ton of great catchers in the dugout to learn the art of fielding behind the plate. But that’s just me.
