More importantly, the next 30 hours or so are the busiest time of the season for MLB general managers. The non-waiver trade deadline is 4 p.m. Tuesday. They've already made one big splash, nabbing Ichiro Suzuki from the Mariners for practically nothing. As a Yankee, he hasn't gone a game without a hit.
Besides Ichiro, the biggest name surrounding the Yankees now is Chase Headley, the Padres' 28-year-old third baseman. With Alex Rodriguez out with a broken hand until the end of September, the Yankees are considering adding infield depth.
The other area of concern has to be starting pitching, as Andy Pettitte just suffered a minor setback in his rehab. Notable starters seemingly on the market include Josh Beckett (wouldn't that be a sight?), Josh Johnson, Ricky Nolasco and James Shields.
The Yankees may have the third best ERA for starters in the league, but you can never have too much pitching, and just about every contender could use reinforcements on the mound.
Don't forget, the Yankees have a couple coming from in house. Joba Chamberlain is very close to a return to the pen, and Pettitte will likely be a key starter in the playoffs if healthy.

The Yankees should get Stephen drew and put him at third base and see how he does there. If he does bad they can put him at second base and put robinson cano at third base. Cano is a great fielder and has a really strong throwing arm so I think he would do good there. Plus third base is a position that is mostly for really good hitters/fielders and cano is both of those.
